Microsoft Teams Webhook URLs migration

Microsoft has announced the retirement of Office 365 Connectors, which means Microsoft Teams incoming webhook URLs will stop working by December 2025. The successor is the Workflows app.

StatusPal’s Microsoft Teams integration is already compatible with Workflows webhook URLs. To ensure that your Microsoft Teams subscriptions continue working after the deprecation, existing incoming webhook URLs must be replaced with new workflow URLs.

How to Generate a Workflow Webhook URL

  1. In Microsoft Teams, open the channel you want to keep subscribed to your status page.

  2. Click More options (⋯) next to the channel name and select Workflows.

  1. Look for the template “Send webhook alerts to a channel.”

  1. Follow the wizard until you obtain a workflow webhook URL

Updating Your StatusPal Subscription

There are two ways to update subscriptions with the new workflow URL:

  • Subscribers: Can edit their Microsoft Teams subscription and replace the webhook URL.

  • Status page owners/administrators: Can update subscriptions directly from the StatusPal admin console.

Current Limitation

At the time of writing, workflow webhook URLs do not support private channels. Microsoft is actively working on extending Workflows webhook capabilities, so this may change in the future.
